Holiday intensives · First launch
Use the break to build the habit.
School holidays are the one stretch of the year with no assessment pressure — which makes them the best possible time to build a habit before it has to survive a term.
Our first holiday intensives are open.
Orbit's holiday intensive program is launching for the first time, and we would love your family to be part of it. Places are limited — small groups are capped at three students of similar age and identified needs, which means the make-up of each group is decided by who registers.
If you think one of the sessions below could suit your student, please fill out the expression of interest form. It takes a couple of minutes, it does not commit you to anything, and it is how we work out group sizes, ages and the focus for each week before confirming places.
Expressions of interest close as places fill. We will be in touch to confirm your student's week, group and focus before anything is booked or invoiced. How your information is used is set out in our privacy notice.
Prepare for the upcoming term. A single focused week in the middle of a two-week break — enough time to map the orbit, build the anchoring habits and get the term's first assessments planned before they land, while still leaving a week of actual holiday.
Monday 18th – Friday 22nd January 2027 Summer break · six week holidays
Start the year right — built for a big transition. Two consecutive weeks across the long summer break, for students stepping up a year level, changing schools, or moving into senior years. Time to build a system, test it, repair what did not hold, and walk into the first week of term already running it.
All sessions run Monday to Friday · 1:1 or small groups of up to three · $500 per week
The purpose
Density, built fast.
A weekly session is one hour against a full week of competing gravity. An intensive flips that ratio. Working across consecutive days means a strategy gets introduced, practised, adjusted and practised again before the student has a chance to forget it — which is exactly how a habit becomes automatic rather than remembered.
Intensives suit students who are about to step up a level — into a senior year, into a new school, into university — and students who have hit a wall and need a concentrated reset rather than a slow adjustment. They also work well as a way to try Orbit without committing to a full term.
By the end of the week the student leaves with a system they have actually run, not one they have been told about.
- Moving into a more demanding school year
- Coming off a term that did not go well
- Preparing for an exam block
- Wanting a reset without waiting for term to start
- Curious about Orbit but not ready for a term commitment

One week, or two.
Both run at $500 per week, billed weekly, and match the launch dates above. Sessions can be 1:1, or in a small group.
One week intensive
$500 per week · billed weekly- Five consecutive days
- A single focus, properly embedded
- Best for a targeted reset or exam prep
- Complimentary review and written report
Two week intensive

- Time to build, test and repair a full system
- Best before a step up in school year
- Complimentary review and written report
Maximum of three students
Small groups are capped at three students of similar age and identified needs. Grouping is deliberate, never incidental — students are only placed together where the shared focus genuinely benefits all of them.
The advantage is real: students who have spent years assuming they are the only one who works this way discover very quickly that they are not. That alone does a lot of work for confidence.
1:1 available at request
Fully individual intensives are available on request, at the same weekly rate. Choose this where the focus is highly specific, where a student would find a group setting difficult, or simply where you would prefer the whole week to be theirs.
Let us know your preference in the initial consultation and we will build the week around it.
Example week
An example five-day structure.
Flexible, based on unique student needs — but this shows how a week builds on itself, from mapping the system on Monday to running it independently by Friday.
| Day | Focus | What happens | Leaves with |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monday | Map the orbit | Name the planets, the asteroids and the sun. Build an honest picture of the current system, including what is already working. | A written map of their own orbit |
| Tuesday | Build the sun | Design the anchoring habits — time management, organisation, and the self-talk that holds it together. Start small enough that it survives contact with a real week. | Two or three anchor habits |
| Wednesday | Forecast the asteroids | Identify predictable distractions and decide in advance how each one gets handled, so they can be braced for rather than survived. Then plan for the ones that cannot be avoided at all. | A distraction plan |
| Thursday | Apply it to real work | Put the system onto genuine academic material — an upcoming assessment, a subject that needs support, or an area they want extended. | Real work, actually started |
| Friday | Run it independently | The student drives the session. Coaching steps back to observation and feedback, and we repair whatever the week exposed. | A system they have run themselves |
Review meeting
One complimentary 15-minute review meeting at the end of the holiday session.
Progress report
A detailed written report covering an overview of progress made across the intensive.
Next term's focus
Clear areas for future focus in the following term, so the work does not stop at the school gate.

Tell us which holidays you are looking at, whether you would prefer 1:1 or a small group, and what you want the week to achieve.
The expression of interest form is the quickest way to register for a holiday week. It does not commit you to anything — it tells us the age, the focus and which dates suit, so we can confirm groups. If you have already booked a consultation, please complete the client intake form before your session as well. How your information is used is set out in our privacy notice.
